3.3 million travelers will hit Southern California roads for Thanksgiving, Automobile Club warns

Thanksgiving travel will largely be by vehicle, according a Automobile Club of Southern California forecast for the holiday: "Almost 86 percent of local travelers - 3.3 million - will be going by car to their destinations, a 3.5 percent increase from last year's 3.2 million automotive travelers." With travel times expected to more than double next week in Southern California, and Anaheim being one of the hottest national destinations for Thanksgiving, those heading out of town by car may want to leave early or plan for a long drive.
