Video: Huge fire tearing through Oakland construction project

A massive fire at one of Oakland's largest housing construction projects erupted early Friday at Valdez and 23rd Streets, engulfing the six-story, multi-use building at the site as firefighters continued to fight the blaze this morning. There was no immediate word of injuries. The fire was 85 percent contained as of 8: 45 a.m. Friday, the Oakland Fire Department said.
