South San Francisco man arrested for child porn

A South San Francisco man allegedly found with thousands of files of child pornography on electronic devices in his home earlier this month was charged with multiple felony counts of possession of child pornography and possession of over 600 images of child pornography Monday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office. The San Francisco division of a federal task force aimed at tracking and putting those distributing and downloading child pornography behind bars began following Matthew Wimer, 38, early this year after his account on a peer-to-peer network website caught the attention of investigators, according to prosecutors.
