San Francisco’s transit planners didn’t foresee this boom and now we’re suffering for it

The transit planners who created San Francisco's “Major Strategic Plan” in 2012 didn't foresee the rise of ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft, so the city's transit infrastructure is now struggling under the 283,000 people that use Uber and Lyft each work day, the Chronicle reports.
