A’s Santiago Casilla doing the Johnny Cueto shimmy

A’s reliever Santiago Casilla picked up a few things from former Giants teammate Johnny Cueto, and they’re entertaining and effective stuff. Casilla did the shimmy Sunday while pitching to Atlanta’s Matt Kemp and struck him out with a quick pitch, leaving Kemp dazed and confused. Casilla said he did it because Kemp has seen him a lot: 20 plate appearances. Kemp is 5-for-18 (.278) with two walks and six strikeouts. Casilla channeled his inner Cueto one other time this year with some hesitation pitches in the nightcap of a June 10 doubleheader at Tampa Bay, and had a perfect inning. Will Casilla continue shimmying and quick-pitching? “You never know,” he said. Briefly: A’s infielder Ryon Healy, who left Sunday’s game with upper back spasms, felt a little improvement and remains listed as day to day. ... Right-hander Kendall Graveman (strained right shoulder) threw 30 pitches off a bullpen mound and will go to Arizona for his next bullpen session. The plan after that is to face hitters. ... Reliever Ryan Dull (strained right knee) threw 25 pitches and mixed in a changeup, the second time he threw off a mound since suffering his injury in May. White Sox White Sox With 10 stolen bases, Rajai Davis is far behind last year’s pace when he swiped a league-high 43.
