Amazon drones on, Apple tests India, and Delta rides with Lyft

The e-commerce company said Thursday it has started development of an air-traffic control system to manage its fleet as the drones fly from warehouses to customers’ doors. A research and development team near Paris has about a dozen software engineers and developers working on the problem. Apple and Wistron, a contract manufacturer, have completed a test run of iPhone production in India, the Wall Street Journal reported. CEO Tim Cook toured India last year to woo consumers and government officials. The plant in southern India will make the low-price iPhone SE. Sandeep Dube, Delta’s vice president of customer engagement and loyalty, said the airline wanted a partner whose culture is “customer-focused and employee-centric.”
