What to Eat and Drink at Presidio Picnic

Hint: It’s the five-person burrito

The sun is out (more often) and the days are longer, which means it’s time for some outdoor feasting. Presidio Picnic, Off the Grid’s food and drink event within the lush boundaries of The Presidio, is back to provide that service for sun-deprived San Franciscans.

But before you head out for this year’s opening day (Sunday, March 19), get acquainted with what’s new, and happening at the all-day flop-a-thon.

Pre-Ordering

For those rolling with groups of at least ten people, it’s now an option to pre-order food and drinks in advance. A select group of vendors like Marla Bakery are allowing people to plan ahead, and skip the line when they arrive. You can also order mimosa and bloody Mary kits and buckets of beers ahead of time, as well as a huge, five-person burrito from Señor Sisig.

Vendors

This year also brings some new additions to the eating and drinking lineup, including:

A’repa
Belgian Frites
BiRite
Farm Stand Lemonade
Hookt Mini Doughnuts
Jackrabbit
Falcon
Marla Bakery
Ocean Oyster Company
Senor Sesig
True Jerky.

Returning vendors include:
Ceviche & Co.
Cochon Volant
Del Poppolo
DUM Truck
Early Bird Tacos
El Sur Empanadas
Fine & Rare
Grilled Cheez Guy
Little Green Cyclo
Nopalito
Sam’s Chowder
Slightly Skewed
Tex Mex
The Whole Beast
Wings Wings

Other fun stuff

Anyone who’s ever been to the Picnic can tell you it’s a family-friendly event, with children frolicking about while their parents consume mimosas, bloody Marys, and coffees. Due to the event’s popularity with kids, many vendors even include kid-friendly menus. There’s also a variety of crafts, games, and even bike safety lessons. There’s also a bike valet for the smart people who don’t want to spend hours of their lives hunting for parking.

Presidio Picnic happens rain or shine, every Sunday beginning March 19, from 11 a.m.-- 4 p.m.
