New Water Conservation Law could affect Bay Area sellers
California's fluctuating water supply and accompanying regulations have become a fact of life throughout the state and in the Bay Area. A state law went into effect this January requiring homeowners to install water conserving plumbing fixtures, specifically low flow toilets, faucets, and shower heads. California Civil Code § 1101.4 requires that all single-family residential property built before 1994 be equipped with water conserving plumbing fixtures.
